* The use of gum shields for Amateur and Professional fighters is optional, however we recommend that they are used providing that they are double gum shields or purpose made by a dentist.
** The use of gum shields for Junior fighters is optional, however, we require all Trainers to be aware that head and face strikes are not permitted at junior level, and that there is a choking risk connected with the use of gumshields. Therefore we recommend that gumshields are used providing they are double gum shields or purpose made by a dentist, and pre approved by the Officials in attendance.
